Pack Leadership

Pack 440 Key 3

The Key 3 of a Cub Scout Pack are the top three adult leaders of the unit which consists of the Committee Chair, the Cubmaster, and the Chartered Organization Representative (COR).

Cubmaster: The Cubmaster leads the Pack Meetings. In addition to serving as the Master of Ceremonies, the Cubmaster also provides support to the Den Leaders.

Committee Chair: The Committee Chair is appointed by the Chartered Organization to oversee the Pack Committee as they provide support to Den Leaders to ensure a quality program. They are responsible for ensuring enough qualified adult volunteers are in place to provide the program. They lead the unit's committee, consisting of adults 21 years of age or older.

Chartered Organization Representative (COR): The COR is the liaison between the unit and the chartering organization. They are responsible for appointing the Committee Chair and approves all adult leaders for the unit. They also help provide resources from the chartered organization.

Every Scout Deserves a Trained Leader: Every adult leader and volunteer in Scouting America is required to take Safeguarding Youth training each year. In addition, direct contact leaders are required to take additional training specific to their position. We want to ensure your youth is safe and gets a quality program.
