Established in 1922 and chartered by the Lexington Lions Club, Troop 318 is Lexington’s oldest Scouting unit. Over the past century, Troop 318 has proudly helped 390 Scouts achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Scouting’s highest honor.
In June 2022, Troop 318 celebrated its 100th anniversary, welcoming back many former Scouts and leaders for a memorable reunion.
Troop 318 enjoys a strong tradition of camping and outdoor adventure. Each summer, we attend H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation in Osceola, Missouri, and for more than 50 years, we’ve held an annual weekend campout at Fountain Grove Conservation Area. Our monthly campouts often include fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities that build skills, friendships, and a love of the outdoors.
We meet at our historic Scout Cabin, located adjacent to the Lafayette Regional Health Center parking lot. Dedicated in 1953, the Scout Cabin has served as Troop 318’s home for more than 70 years—a cornerstone of Scouting in Lexington.
